Semplice: come tutte le distribuzioni linux derivate da Ubuntu, Express Linux è user-friendly e cioè di facile utilizzo, studiata per essere usata da tutti gli utenti, anche dai meno esperti!
Veloce: utilizza gli ambienti grafici LXDE e Openbox, creati con l’obiettivo di essere estremamente leggeri e reattivi (anche su macchine obsolete) seppur completi, funzionali e dall’aspetto gradevole.
Pronto all’uso: è un sistema operativo libero che include di default le pricipali applicazioni usate da un utente comune (navigazione web, instant messaging, ufficio, grafica…).

Express Linux è un sistema operativo ottenuto da Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04 (Kernel Linux 2.6.38-8-generic). Si prega di controllare le note di rilascio di Ubuntu. E’ disponibile nelle versioni LXDE e Openbox. Express Linux 2011.06 utilizza il tema di icone Faenza by tiheum. Wallpapers by pr09studio. Express Linux 2011.06 viene rilasciato in lingua Italiana, ma supporta anche altre lingue. Per ottenere Express Linux in altre lingue si prega di consultare il forum.
Requisiti Minimi:
Il requisito minimo di memoria Ram per l’esecuzione di Express Linux è di 128 MB, tuttavia, per un funzionamento ottimale se ne consiglia l’installazione su macchine con almeno 256 MB di Ram. Per poter installare Express Linux sul proprio hard-disk è necessario avere almeno 3 Gb di spazio libero.
